@AppleWireMedia I know–Mac is so super-proprietary in everything it does, and then it tries to lock in all the customers into only being able to use them (and jacking up the price) and micro-control all the vendors, deciding who can and can’t publish software for their platforms. I would rather have freedom to choose.

I agree! You’re pretty much paying 3000 dollars just for the name itself! Plus in my opinion its not a well-rounded os. To me it seems more media oriented. Unlike Linux very useful and has very good media capabilities.
@roybeijer1984 why would i wanna buy a mac? i mean its awesome and stuff but i really like ubuntu, and the mac os x look is amazing! so why not dress ubuntu up with the mac os x theme?
